Disheveled Management

Being a PA in management sometimes feels like uncharted territory. 3 years ago I swapped my scrubs for a pantsuit and there are some days I feel like I am just a kid pretending to be a grown up. Clinical work is tough, but management is unrelenting. Especially when you have a uterus and are the new kid on the block.

I hope to start a new focus on my blog, which is why it has a whole new look. We are going to muddle through the ins and outs of how to be an effective leader without losing your soul to the corporate world. Some topics that I will cover-

  1. Interviewing
  2. Performance
  3. Promotions (your own and your employees)
  4. Negotiating your salary
  5. Motivating your staff
  6. Patient Experience
  7. Communication
  8. Balance
  9. Networking
  10. Strategic Change

Don’t worry! I will still write plenty about all my screw ups as a parent, because we can all use a little chuckle. If you have topics that you would like to see covered, make sure to comment! I can’t wait to share the information that I am learning with you and hopefully, you can skip some of the mistakes I’ve made.
